Wild Turkey Got Away – Day Six Of Ten

Originally I intended to capture a shot of a wild turkey trotting down our back driveway. But I was not quick enough on the draw, so you have to squint to see him – if you can even see him at all. What I didn’t notice at first were the late afternoon shadows of the craggy old cottonwood in the foreground.  Sometimes you miss what you were shooting for in the first place, but then you catch something you didn’t even notice or intend. Life is like that some days – or at least mine is. Not half bad if I do say so myself.
