Denny Sykes Anspach MD (1934 – 2020).
Though he is gone, The California State Railroad Museum he founded lives on. If you visit, look for the bronze bust just recently added.

And he was a model railroader. I’ve seen his postings on at least one of the Groups.io groups I follow for model train electronics. I never realized his role in the CSRM. BTW, when the museum reopens (if it’s still closed), there is a fairly new display area built by the National Model Railroad Assoc on the “Magic of Model Railroading.” I hope to check it out some day.
