Happy birthday to all the Wolf brothers who have a November Birthday! Statisticians call it the Birthday Paradox – there is a 50 percent chance with a group of 23 people that 2 of those people will share the same birth-DAY. The 1947 Wolf brother has a November 24th birthday, my 1950 birthday is November 23rd , my father’s birthday is a November 24th, 1921, we all have the honor of being born on Thanksgiving Day. Statisticians what are the chances of that???
FDR changed the day Thanksgiving was observed from the last Thursday of November to the 4th Thursday of November. This added ‘extra’ shopping days before Christmas.(to help the economy) There is even a reference to this ‘confusion’ in a Laurel and Hardy skit. Happy Turkey Day to all!
