Yesterday’s walk down the east bank of the river to the marina and back took me past the Pony Express statue in Old Sac.

Now imagine the West Sac post office, which is much slower than the Pony Express. I guess their horses are not putting as much effort into it as this statue. If I’ve mailed you a letter and it hasn’t arrived yet, now you know why.
